She grew up in the suburbs of Boston, Mass where, as an adolescent, she explored the Ponkapoug Bog, the Blue Hills Reservation and Chickatawbut Hills on the tribal lands of the Neponset and Algonquin people.

It is here where she developed her love of nature, finding peace and balance from an otherwise stressful world. Christine continued on to Massachusetts College of Art and Design to earn a BA in Fine Art, she eventually landed at outdoor clothing company, Patagonia as a Product Developer. It was this experience that led her to the creation of Reimagine Outdoors, to be able to utilize the outdoor industries excess samples and products and get them to people who are challenged in gaining access to the outdoors due to lack of gear. |

Professionally, Akil has led accounting teams for small and medium sized businesses in the media and entertainment, product engineering, and non-profit industries. As a total nerd, he has been responsible for building and implementing new finance and accounting systems to optimize operations. A healthy life is about balance, however, he always tries to make time to surf, ski and scuba dive. |
Jessie TurnerDirector of logisticsJessie comes to us from Louisiana where he grew up hunting and fishing. He later moved to Southern California, and he spent a great deal of time outdoors and playing basketball. Through summer programs and youth groups, he developed his foundation for teaching children to take care of the earth.

Jessie later pursued his basketball career at Illinois State University and abroad. Jessie has a Bachelors in Sociology and he currently works at the Ventura County Mental Health and an outdoor apparel company, Patagonia. He loves garden, play basketball and football, and still enjoys teaching sports. |
Rachele MoskowitzDirector of Mental HealthRachele has her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified EMDR therapist in the state of California. Rachele worked with nonprofit organizations providing mental health care to low-income BIPOC communities for over a decade.

Currently, Rachele teaches undergraduate and graduate students at local universities on the central coast. She is also the Director of Clinical Training at Antioch University in Santa Barbara and sees clients in private practice. In her clinical work, Rachele focuses on the treatment of trauma using somatic techniques, and her research interests include the neurobiology of trauma, perinatal mood disorders, and interpersonal neurobiology. Rachele is passionate about work that promotes social justice through interpersonal connection both within ourselves and in the company of each other. She is an avid surfer, runner, hiker, and believes firmly that a relationship with the natural world is essential to mental well-being. |
